The Virginia International Gold Cup is my favorite event of the year. Many of my industry vendors get tents and somehow I manage to score an invite each year. It’s a beautiful day to get dressed up, drink with my friends, and watch steeplechasing. There is literally nothing not to love! Each year, we have gotten more and more creative with our transportation. After our crew got larger and larger, we’ve taken to getting private rentals or buses to take us out to Warrenton, VA which is a sold 45min. – 2.5 hours away depending on traffic.
At the Gold Cup in the GES tent with our friend, Scott, the VP of National Sales with GES. This year was Shannon (with her fabulous dalmatian spotted hat), Kelly, Kiki, me, and our friend Sarah.
It’s such an exciting day! It’s no secret that I love equestrian events, so spending the day at the races is exhilarating.
I love getting dressed for this event! This Devon Baer dress seemed just the ticket, with a fascinator hat and my Kate Spade dalmatian purse. It was definitely chilly!
Two of the jack russell terriers from the morning race. They’re so adorable with that little plaid jacket!
One of the tent parties had a mimosa bar. We took full advantage of this.
Sarah, Kiki, and me! Shannon had made us all these fab sippy cups! She hand painted the horses gold and then glued them to the lids! She even made us personalized cups. Everyone at the Gold Cup was jealous and we kept getting stopped by random people to ask where we got them.
Another beautiful year. Can’t wait until next October!
